How Old Do You Have To Winstar

A step towards the possibility of creating a liquid superconductor infernal

Lithium is the first metal in the periodic table and the least dense solid element at room temperature. He is known especially for its use in batteries for electronic devices in common use, such as mobile phones and laptops. Now a research team has succeeded in demonstrating that lithium, when subjected to intense pressure, acquired unusual properties.
With only three electrons per atom, lithium should behave like a simple metal. However, this research has shown that under pressure of between about 395,000 and 592,000 atmospheres, lithium behaves in a way that there is nothing simple. The high pressure not only causes it to become a liquid at room temperature, but then prevents it from freezing until the temperature reaches about 80 degrees Celsius. At pressures above 592,000 atmospheres or so, when lithium is just solidifying, is within a range of complex crystalline states. The highest pressure reached in the study was about 1.3 million atmospheres.
